Pokemon Ash Gray is a popular ROM hack for the Pokemon FireRed game. This is a fan-made game that tells the story of the Pokémon anime series, specifically the first season in which Ash begins his journey as a Pokémon trainer in the Kanto region.
The game's events, characters, and locations are based on the anime series, such as Ash's encounters with various gym leaders and his battle with Team Rocket. The game also has some new features and changes, such as the inclusion of new Pokémon and the ability to catch all the Pokémon Ash catches in the anime.
story
Pokemon Ash tells the story of the Pokemon anime series, especially the first season. When the game starts, Ash receives his first Pokémon Pikachu from Professor Oki. Just like in the anime, Pikachu is initially uncooperative and refuses to enter the Poke Ball, which makes it difficult for Ash to train him.
As Ash travels through the Kanto region, he encounters various gym leaders and other characters from the animated series, such as Misty, Brock, and Team Rocket. The game follows many of the same plot and events as the anime, as Ash catches a caterpillar, evolves it into a butterfly, and releases it to join his own kind.
Along the way, Ash and Pikachu meet several other Pokémon that they befriend and help, such as Charmander, who was abandoned by his previous owner, and Squirtle, one of a pack of bad Squirrels.
As the story progresses, Ash and his friends learn about the legendary Pokémon Mew, and eventually come face to face with it in battle. Finally, Ash competes in the Pokémon League Championships, where he faces off against his rival Gary Oak and several other powerful Trainers.
Gameplay
The gameplay in Pokemon Ash is similar to the original Pokemon Flame game, but with a few extra features and changes that bring it closer to the events of the anime series.
Players control Xiaozhi to travel through the Kanto region, fight gym leaders and other trainers, capture and train Pokémon, and uncover the secrets of the region. The game features turn-based combat where players choose the moves their Pokémon will take to defeat their opponents.
In addition to the standard Pokemon battles, Pokemon Ash includes some events based on the anime series. For example, players can join Charmander Rescue and help Charmander find a new home, or participate in St. Anne Events and help rescue other trainers from a sinking luxury liner.
Another unique feature of the game is the ability to catch all the Pokémon Ash has caught in the anime series, including Pikachu, Butterfly, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and more. This feature makes the game even more nostalgic for anime fans, and allows players to build a team that closely resembles Ash's Pokémon team.
