‘Swimproof’ Apple Watch Series 2 Adds Built-In GPS
With Series 2, Apple is focusing on athletes, promising a ‘swimproof’ device that is water-resistant up to 50 meters.
There’s also built-in GPS, so you can leave your phone at home while you’re on a run. Just hit the start button and begin a workout. Developers can also take advantage of the built-in GPS for their apps.
Inside, there’s a second-gen S2 dual-core processor that’s up to 50 percent faster than its predecessor. A new GPU also delivers two times the graphics performance, according to Apple, which pointed to an updated version of the Night Sky(Opens in a new window) app that will provide five times the level of detail on Apple Watch Series 2.
